TOTAL RECALL Trailer Is The Most Irritating April Fool’s Prank Of Them All

Every time there's a remake of a movie based on a book or story, the remakers pretend they're going back to the original material. They're almost always full of shit. Case in point: the Total Recall remake. The filmmakers have said they're returning to Philip K Dick's We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, but nothing in this trailer resembles Dick's short story. It all does resemble the original Total Recall, which took only the most basic premise of Dick's work and went wild from there.

Paul Verhoeven's film was a wonderful work of sly fun. This looks like a tedious piece of crap in the modern mold of tedium and crap. The big 'single shot' action sequence is poorly laid out and executed. Everything about this movie looks refried and tired. 

It's all an April Fool's joke, right?
