Jared Leto’s BLADE RUNNER 2049 Character Has A Name, You Know

A friendly reminder that Jared Leto is in BLADE RUNNER 2049.

It's been a while since we heard anything new about Blade Runner 2049, but today a new interview with Suicide Squad's Jared Leto has brought us to a tiny new morsel of information. Here's Leto talking to the London Evening Standard:

“I play a character called Neander Wallace — to be honest they had me at the name...I read the script and fell in love with the character. But I don’t think I’m allowed to talk about it — I may have already got in trouble for telling you the name..."

If we're being honest, this information is almost entirely useless - it tells us absolutely nothing about the character or what role he might be playing in Blade Runner 2049's narrative. And yet, some people who shall remain nameless (read: it me) are jonesing so hard for Blade Runner 2049 news that they'd actually bother writing up and publishing a post relaying the above information. Sad!

We're still some months out from Blade Runner 2049's arrival - it won't arrive until early October - but rest assured that we'll be monitoring that one very closely between now and then. In the meantime, we can all rest easy knowing that Jared Leto is playing Neander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049. Finally, we will have some peace.

Oh, and PS: if you're not a Leto fan, I cannot recommend that Evening Standard piece enough. Wildly insufferable, from top to bottom.
