The Coen Brothers’ THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS Begins Shooting Next Month

In which the Coen Bros. make the leap to television, with a western.

As pointed out by the good folks over at The Playlist, some newly-revealed casting notices seem to have divulged a few interesting tidbits about the Coen Bros.' forthcoming western TV series, The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs

The logline, for instance:

"The stories of six individuals weave together in the old West at the end of the Civil War."

Also revealed: the fact that The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs will apparently begin shooting next month in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The series - which the Coens are directing for Annapurna's TV shingle - does not yet have a network to call home (nor has it yet cast any of its major roles), but given the pedigree of the team behind the camera, we're guessing that won't remain the case for very long.

Stay tuned for further Ballad Of Buster Scruggs updates as they become available. In the meantime, why don't we all revisit True Grit?
