Sounds Like Nick Fury Will Appear In CAPTAIN MARVEL, After All

What was once rumor is now pretty much on the books.

A few days ago, our own Siddhant Adlakha brought you some solid MCU gossip: word on the street was, Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury might be appearing in Marvel's upcoming Captain Marvel movie. At the time, the rumor could not be confirmed, but now - just a few days later - it's been made...well, not entirely official, but moreso than it was a few days ago.

According to Deadline:

"Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and we hear it’s true that Jackson will be making an appearance in the movie."

So, nothing officially official, perhaps, but if Deadline's running with that, it's probably safe to say it's a go. And to be fair, this isn't entirely shocking: Jackson was hinting around the possibility as far back as February, and - as Sid pointed out in that July 4th post - Jackson's onboard to appear as Fury in both Avengers: Infinity War and its 2019 sequel, while Captain Marvel is due to arrive on March 8th, 2019. If anything, it'd be a little weird if there weren't some MCU crossover happening there.

Anyhoo, we're considering the case closed on this one for the time being. If you have strong feelings one way or another about it, feel free to drop 'em off in the comments below.
