Jack Reynor To Star In Ridley Scott & David Lowery’s STRANGE ANGEL

But what is STRANGE ANGEL? And who is Jack Reynor?

CBS All Access announced today that Jack Reynor will star in its upcoming original drama series, Strange Angel.

"But Jacob," you ask, "what is Strange Angel?"

Glad you asked. As we covered beforeStrange Angel is the collaboration between Ridley Scott (who will Executive Produce the series) and A Ghost Story's David Lowery (who will EP and direct). The show was created by Mark Heyman (Black Swan), and follows the misadventures of Jack Parsons.

"But Jacob," you persist, "who is Jack Parsons?"

Well - per the last gift BMD's former EiC Meredith Borders gave me before moving on to rule the rest of the world - George Pendle's source novel Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons tells us Parsons was a brilliant, ambitious blue-collar '30s Los Angeleno who started as a janitor at a chemical factory and had wild dreams that led him to birth the unknown discipline of American rocketry. Along the way, he fell into a mysterious world that included sex magick rituals, and became a disciple of occultist Aleister Crowley. Parsons used Crowley’s teachings of self-actualization to support his attempts at journeying to the stars.

"But Jacob," you slur, "who the fuck is Jack Reynor?"

He was in Sing Street. He was in Detroit. Watch both of those, as they're great and he's great in them.

No date is slated for Strange Angel as to when it'll appear on the premium streaming service, but we'll keep you up to date. Now go sleep it off, you're an animal.
