Report: IT: CHAPTER TWO Will Begin Filming This Summer

Somehow they're not calling it IT: DAT BOI IS BACK IN TOWN.

According to an email exchange IndieWire recently had with IT producer Roy Lee, the sequel to Andy Muschietti's wildly successful horror epic will begin filming this summer, which puts it very much on track to hit its already-announced September 6th, 2019 release date.

Says IndieWire:

"The sequel to It, the highest-grossing Stephen King adaptation to date, will begin filming in July.

“The script is still being finalized and the locations are currently being scouted in anticipation of shooting then,” confirmed producer Roy Lee in an email to IndieWire."

As you know, IT: Chapter Two (or whatever it ends up being called) will cover the second half of Stephen King's iconic novel, which deals with an all-grown-up Losers' Club returning to Derry, Maine to put Dat Boi Pennywise in his place (Pipe?) once and for all. Who will survive and what will be left of them, indeed.

With filming set to begin in just three months, odds are we're going to start hearing some solid casting news in the very near future. While we're waiting on that to arrive, who are you picturing for the adult versions of Ben, Bev (who, yes, will probably end up being played by Jessica Chastain, but just play along here), Bill, Stan, Richie, Eddie and Mike? Give us your best choices in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on IT: Chapter Two as it becomes available.
