Liam Neeson To Growl At Aliens In MEN IN BLACK Reboot

Will he, too, make this look good?

F. Gary Gray’s soft-reboot of Men In Black is coming together, whether you’re ready or not. Thor: Ragnarok’s Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth have been on board for a while, as the ambitious Agent Em and complacent Agent H, respectively, but there’s a whole ensemble cast to fill out yet.

The latest entry to that cast: none other than the incomparable Liam Neeson(s). Neeson will play “High-T,” the head of the London office of the MIB, where the movie opens and where Hemsworth’s character is based. His gruff screen persona should make a fine “straight man” for the wack-a-doodle comic stylings of the Men In Black series; it’s as decent an opportunity for self-parody as any.

Based on everything we’ve heard so far, the new Men In Black (set in the same universe as the old Men In Black) will make a few more international moves than the America-bound Original Men In Black Trilogy. It’ll be intriguing to see how an international flavour affects the tone of the film, given how rooted the originals are in both New York and home-spun Americana. Guess we’ll find out on June 14th, 2019.

I’ll be honest, though: I’m still sore we aren’t getting that 21 Jump Street / Men In Black crossover that was mooted a while back. Ho-lee shit, that would’ve been something.
