Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock: HBO’s WATCHMEN Arrives Next Month

We now know when the Doomsday Clock will strike midnight.

We've known for some time that HBO's Watchmen adaptation would arrive before the end of the year, but today the network locked in an official premiere date: October 20th. That's less than 40 days from now, so if you're gonna put together a viewing party...best get on that quickly.

For those who haven't been paying attention, HBO's Watchmen is something of a remix (and, it appears, something of a continuation) of the classic Alan Moore comic series. Damon Lindelof is onboard as showrunner, Oscar-winning composers Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross are handling the score, and the cast is jam-packed with talented names, including Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens and Frances Fisher. In July we caught a brand-new trailer for the series out of this year's SDCC, and we loved what we saw. Fingers crossed that the series itself delivers.

Are you folks as excited about this one as we are? Think they should leave Watchmen well enough alone? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on Watchmen as further updates roll in.
